The role:
Reporting to the Program Test Manager, the Tester will assist in the testing process for the support, development, integration and maintenance of a range of Information Technology systems that provides health related services for the Department of Health and the Hospital and Health Services.

To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Ability to apply information technology skills to create, maintain and execute test cases within an IM/ICT program/project(s) environment. (SFIA Skill: TEST: Level 2)
- Analyse test results and report any unexpected outcomes and defects. (SFIA Skill: TEST: Level 2)
- Ability to demonstrate analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills with experience in software testing methods and tools. (SFIA Skill: METL: Level 3)
- Proven ability to communicate efficiently and effectively at all levels with staff within and external to Queensland Health and with the general public, both orally and in writing. (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing, Collaborative working)
- Ability to gain knowledge across a broad range of information technology solutions, particularly in clinical areas such as pathology, forensic or public health.
