Deputy Head of Facility Management [Luxembourg]

TASK RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible of activities belonging to Facility Management (FM) scope, he/she supervises the work of FM technicians and organizes their day-to-day work in the FM tool


  • Support FM team in technical issues around the building and machineries
  • Apply all internal procedures when performing his/her duties and implements best practices
  • Responsible for the availability of spare parts for all kind of maintenance and repair tasks
  • Represent FM department in projects with other departments for building related Projects. Based on requirements, he/she will lead, support, or evaluate workstreams
  • Act as energy delegate for the company (CSR report, by providing annual energy balance sheets) and is responsible as well for the reduction of the energy consumption inside the buildings
  • Ensure timely execution / documentation / required corrective actions of all periodic inspections and further statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Be the primary contact for facility related emergencies, which may require evening and weekend availability
  • Manage priorities related to legal controls, maintenance, and commodo/incommodo topics in relation to the Cargolux buildings
  • Negotiate and manage contracts

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

  • Certified technician in electrics and/or HVAC technician or Engineer in electrics and/or HVAC systems
  • Master's degree in electronics, electrical engineering would be considered as an advantage
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the sector of Facility Management is required, building management
  • Experience with solar panels installations would be an advantage
  • Understand building codes and complete installations in conformity with them
  • Ability to maneuver comfortably through complex processes and to plan/ prioritize work in order to meet deadlines
  • Ability to anticipate and adopt innovations in emerging technologies
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and building management system (GTC) will be considered an advantage
  • Fluency in written and spoken English. German, French and Luxembourgish are a distinct advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Permanent, full-time position based in our HQ in Luxembourg
  • Occasional travel will be required
  • Flexibility with working hours is required
  • B driving license required (for manual gear driven cars)
  • A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection)
  • The successful candidate will have to obtain a valid medical fitness certificate for the job issued by the Company doctor prior to the start of the employment
  • Stand-by availability may be required
